Abstract To overcome the end effects of Hilbert-Huang transform, on the basis of existing method to solve the problem, an extension and window function improve method for end effects was proposed.Through the first to signal with similar extreme a extension and then processing by cosine window function,the inaccuracy of extension and original signal changed because of window function are solved.In a certain degree,the end effects of EMD is overcome,getting more the IMF,meanwhile,through the Hilbert transformation get more accurate boundary spectrum and Hilbert spectrum.It is used in the simulation signal and the cracked rotor fault signal analysis proves that the method has a good effect.
