Abstract A set of high accuracy 100N·m torque standard machine is developed at National Institute of Metrology (NIM). The air bearing technology and flexible coupling are firstly used in this torque standard machine in China, the accurate adjustment technology is used, and the low expansion alloy (INVOR) is used as the material of arm lever, as a result the uncertainty of this machine is minimized. The operation principle, mechanical structure and electric control system of this machine are introduced, the uncertainty assessment and the results of performance test are described. The results show that the repeatability of the machine is better than 2×10-5,the uncertainty is less than 2×10-5 (k=2).
