Abstract  A standard blackbody source is developed, which is used for calibration of infrared thermometer under 200 ℃.The effective emissivity of blackbody cavity is calculated in different ways, the results of which are higher than 0.997 each and all.Through a series of experiment, the results show that the working distance and ambient temperature are two importance influencing factors, and the optimal working distance in the calibration is obtained, the importance of keeping constance of ambient temperature around thermometer is indicated.
