Abstract In order to achieve miniaturized maser of active hydrogen atomic clock,the improvement of the physical package is made.The structure of resonator and storage bulb,vacuum system,constant magnetic field coil, beam optical system and magnetic shielding system are theoretical analysed and designed,and also related verification experiments are made.Double vacuum structure design effectively reduces the size of the hydrogen maser. The prototype of hydrogen atomic clock for space applications is developed,getter technology and composite pump technology further reduce the active hydrogen atomic clock dimensions and weight.
