The Test and Analysis of Sound Absorbing Wedge with Standing Wave Ratio Method |

Abstract To achieve a high-precision and efficient way to measure the property parameters of sound absorbing material , an automatically measure system is developed with many devices such as PLC, stepping motor, which is based on standing wave theory. Many factors are described, for example, some wedges with a section of 0.6 m×0.6 m are tested and analyzed, including how to choose standing wave ratio. During the measurement, attenuation of sound wave and the mounting of wedge and microphone needn’t considered. As to the standing wave ratio, the first set value can meet requirements of engineering application measurement.
