Abstract When the frequency range of ultrasonic transducers is less 10MHz, experimental researches, used the pulse-echo and hydrophone methods introduced in the ASTM E1065, has compared the consistency of two methods for measurement of sound field parameters of the plane ultrasonic transducers and the focused transducers. Used the reasonable diameters of the small balls, the experiments show well consistency of pulse-echo and hydrophone methods for measurement of sound field parameters of ultrasonic transducers, but the hydrophone method is a method of measurement traceability in evaluation and calibration of ultrasonic transducers.
