Abstract The study on the calibration method of vital sign simulator was performed by employing a number of equipment and a series of metrological technical regulations. According to the published calibration specifications, a typical simulator model was calibrated and the uncertainty was evaluated. Characteristics of the calibration method were elaborated, and unpractical requirements as well as potential solutions were discussed. Furthermore, intelligent calibration of vital sign simulator was realized by utilizing automatic measurement program.
