A New Method for Calculating the Sound Pressure Level of Anechoic Chambers |

Abstract The inverse square law for calculating the sound pressure level was proposed in JJF 1147-2006 “Calibration Specification for Acoustic Performance of Anechoic Rooms and Hemi-anechoic Rooms”, causing a large deviation of sound pressure level near the sound source. For this problem, a new method of adding the air absorption attenuation factor and selecting the actual sound pressure level at the measurement position of 1 m to calculate the sound pressure level of the anechoic chamber is proposed. Through comparative experiments, the above situation can be well improved and the calibration accuracy can get increased.
