Abstract There are torque ripples for single-phase series motor when in working,which leads to the obvious vibration and noise.Therefore,a torque ripple suppression method for single-phase series motor is presented,which based on superposition offset of vibration wave.Namely adding another vibration wave,compared with original torque fluctuation,which is the same amplitude and stagger 180°phase.By analysing the work mechanism of motor,the torque ripple suppression method implementation conditions is received.Finally,torque ripples of single-phase series motor motor are tested,which the vibration wave is superimposed,the experiment results show that the torque ripple can be eliminated effectively,the feasibility of torque ripple suppression method is verified.
